PERSBERICHT Tweede Ronde Metal Battle 2024 De Enschedese Headbangers Organisatie (EHBO) en de Utrechtse metalvereniging VIRUS daagden elkaar in 2001 uit om te bepalen waar nu eigenlijk de beste metalband vandaan kwam. Dit resulteerde in de eerste Metal Battle, waaraan toen slechts enkele bands meededen. Ondertussen heeft de EHBO het stokje overgedragen aan Noord Geldersch Metaal en Occultfest. De Metal Battle is inmiddels de grootste underground metalcontest van Nederland. Alle voorronden van de Metal Battle 2017 zijn achter de rug. Middels 3 halve finales ofwel Veldslagen zullen de 12 winnaars strijden om een plek in de Finale op 22 april in Harderwijk. Veldslag Noord vindt op 11 maart plaats in Het Podium te Hoogeveen. De volgende bands treden dan op: Bruusk (winnaar Overijssel), Polter (winnaar in Friesland), Torrential (winnaar in Groningen), Wasted Brians (winnaar in Drenthe), en Blasphemy Night (Special Guest) Veldslag West vindt op 18 maart plaats in Baroeg te Rotterdam. De volgende bands treden dan op: Cthuluminati (winnaar in Zuid Holland), Hallowed Fire (winnaar in Noord-Holland), Harbour Of Souls (winnaar in Zeeland) en Inferum (winnaar Zuid Holland) Veldslag Oost vindt op 17 maart plaats in Estrado te Harderwijk. De volgende bands treden dan op: De Grote Boodschap (winnaar in Gelderland), Pros\pect (winnaar in Limburg), Temple Renegade (winnaar in Flevoland) en The Mad Baron (winnaar Utrecht) In de landelijke finale op 22 april te Harderwijk vallen er naast eeuwige roem, coaching door ' The Rockstation' , een trofee van 'Boneyard', deelname aan de NL finale van de Wacken Battle , Pro Package by Into The limelight Records en aandacht van onze mediapartners ook optredens te winnen op Angelfest, Baroeg Open Air, Geldersch Metal Treffen, Hemelvaart Metalfest, Occultfest, Skullfest en Sneker Metal Meeting, Stonehenge en Tattoofest.
